In Buddhism, “Tara” is a significant figure, particularly within Tibetan Buddhism. Tara is a female Bodhisattva, which means she is an enlightened being who has chosen to remain in the cycle of birth and death to help all sentient beings attain enlightenment. Throughout Buddhist traditions, Tara is venerated as a symbol of compassion and as a source of inspiration for practitioners seeking liberation from suffering. She is often invoked through prayers, mantras, and visualizations as a guide and protector on the path to enlightenment.
Additionally, “Phendeyling” refers to a place associated with happiness and friendly services.
The name was cherry picked by our founding fathers, on the basis that the lodge aims to provide a level of personal service that suits each individual customer, understanding that those that choose to stay with us are looking for a home, away from home. The property which took four years to complete, was designed in contemporary Bhutanese style infused with modern amenities to not only bring comfort, but value for money.

Room Cleaning
We at Tara Phende ling practice Green Mo ement . This means o get a dail room cleaning. For a longer stay your linen will be changed every third day. However, as part of our commitment to ensure your comfort and satisfaction, if you require a linen change during your stay, simply leave us a message through the digital room service system available in your room. Our housekeeping team will promptly attend to your request and ensure that fresh clean linens are provided to enhance your comfort.
Environmental Sustainability
In commitment to our sustainable practices, you have the option of re-using your bathroom linens. If you place your bathroom linens on the floor that alerts us to refresh the linens otherwise, we will leave them for further use. Thank you for helping us to conserve precious water and reduce our environment footprint.
Laundry and Shoeshine
Service is available for all laundry and pressing needs. Please turn in laundry items by 6:00 pm to receive it by noon the next day. Please contact Front Desk for laundry pickup and delivery services. Unless indicated otherwise, items will be machine washed and returned folded or on a hanger. If you wish to have your shoes shined or cleaned, please contact Front Desk.
IMPORTANT: For you comfort and convenience, we would like to request you NOT to use the hot water provided in your room to wash your clothes.
